The Mas

At Mas Oms, time stands still. The driveway is bordered with wildflowers, butterflies and birds twirl, the scent of fresh thyme and peppermint holds sway and the view of the Gavarres Massif will take your breath away. Push open the farmhouse door and the smell of freshly-baked bread and cakes just out of the oven greets you. Fresh flowers add the finishing touch to the wonderful decor and we welcome you wholeheartedly like old friends. The magic takes its effect and everyone feels great.

This 14th century Catalan farmhouse, nestled in the mountains between Girona, Empordá, the sea and the beaches of the Costa Brava has been renovated with a lot of love and discernment by Céline and Julien. The rustic beauty of this place is almost intoxicating. In summer, when the sun is at its peak, we lounge in hammocks suspended between holly oaks and olive trees, sip iced tea beneath the fig trees or take a dip in the (heated) saltwater pool overlooking the valley. We start a game of pétanque and order ourselves detox juices or an ice cold local beer from the bar.

In winter, we take advantage of the gorgeous daylight to go for a stroll or ride an (electric) bike through the mountains. On our return, we sit down on the swing to catch the last rays of sun. In the evening, we can happily snuggle up by the fire. En route, we stop by the library to pick one of the books and end the day leaning against the bar to discover one of the natural wines enthusiastically described by Julien.

Each season has its own charms and delights.

At Mas Oms, the feeling of well-being extends year round in perfect simplicity.
